For this DIY you will need a cellphone case in rubber. I got mine here but I am sure it would be so cool with a full case too, studs and pliers to help push the prongs down.
I lined them up to see how many I could fit on each side. Then I just started pushing the prongs through the case with my fingers and bending the prongs back with some round nosed pliers, but you can use any hard object like a spoon to do this.
My Marc by Marc Jacobs case has had to sleep in the drawer all by its own after this 80’s case was born!
