DIY Dont Be Wasteful SmoothieBags

Do you guys ever get carried away in the fruit isle?
It happens with me on a bi-daily basis, fruit is just so fresh and delicious. The problem though?
Its sort of pricy and it doesn't stay fresh for very long. I have personally thrown away my last apple with the help of this little trick.

When the fruit starts to go bad (and i dont have time to munch it all down...)
I peal it, cut it, bag it and freeze it!
It will stay fresh forever and ready to POP in the blender for a late night snack or some Pre-work out fuel.

Some other Smoothie tips:
Add some almonds, it fills you up and is packed with healthy goodness.
Add Chia seed (a health food craze these days) for vegan Omega-3.
Also, (ground for max goodness) Flaxseeds, great to for they tummy hence great for you.
Macha tea, tons of antioxidants and a little kick of caffein. (yay)

If you dont live till your 100 after this, dont blame me!

Enjoy!
(No, i dont normally decorate my smoothies with fresh strawberries, that one is just for you!)

  10. That's such a good idea! I love fruit, and in order to get all of the kinds that I like, I usually buy more than I can eat.

  16. I like to see another great idea to reduce wasting. I will definitely put this into action. I've come up with an idea to save excess smoothies, for when you make a little too much. Thank you for the helpful information!
