DIY Hair Cuff's

Hair cuff's.... we all want one.
Well actually, I cant speak for EVERYONE.. but the fact that even H&M is sold out (arrrg) is evidence that more girls than me are obsessed with this awesome accessorie.
I mean how could one not be. Ponytail = the most comfy hair look ever, and this litte geni makes it cool looking as well. Got to love it!

There are several ways of getting the look, if you have a cool ring or a napkin holder they can be great hair cuffs. Attach a rubberband to the ring or napkin holder as below. I only do it since mine is a semi antique "anti-drop-spilling-gadget" for wine, but its always nice to safe and have the cuff attached also after the party.

An easy way of getting them on your pony tale is twisting your ponytail as below and thread it on. When its up, attach the rubber band as you would a ponytail and tease  the hair below the cuff to prevent it from sliding down.

  3. I have a gold chunky ring with a stretchy band that I have used like this before and I loved it! So cheap but looks so expensive!

  7. I have to admit, I do love hair cuffs, although I haven't been able to find one... I never thought of using a household item, but your napkin ring works really well and is very pretty, too! Thank for the tip :)

Just wanted to let you know that the Oreo Cake on my blog was actually from Starbucks the Cheesecake Factory section so I have no idea what the original recipe is but I would love to try and make one of my own! Thanks so much for your comment!

  10. Very nifty idea. One small thing, I would advise you use a thing hair elastic rather than a rubber band as rubber bands can cause damage to your hair where they end up pulling more hair out than normal hair bands.

    Very nice idea though

Thanks for the tips!! And i totally agree! normally i def dont put rubber bands in my hair, but this time i actually wanted it to stick a bit in fear of loosing the silver ring, lol! ;)

  13. what size ring would be good to do this with? I have thin short hair but i wear clip in extensions so that makes it thicker.
