DIY Tiger Necklace

Camilla Prytz is a Norwegian glass artist, that went jewelry designer.
Her line of miniature animals is absolutely great, and it's super popular with the fashion elite.
Here with One of the Olsen twins wearing her eagle necklace.

Some more of her great line:

This is what you need to make a great piece, just like MKO.

A plastic toy, silver spray paint, picture hanging screw and a silver chain.

Make a hole on the top of the toy, screw the picture hanger in the hole (poor little tiger!!!) and spray paint it silver! The result is way better if you do several thin layers, that way you don't loose the structure of the toy.

Or what about adding several to a bracelet? Go for it!!

  4. oh my gosh, seriously, if i didn't paint like a 3-year-old i'd totally go out and get myself a plastic tiger toy right now.

on a totally irrelevant note, after staring at your blog's background for a while, i feel kind of tipsy for some reason...

  11. Tried this! It's amazing :)
Mine looked a little flat after the silver paint, so I added a liiiittle bit of black paint and it really made a difference. It looks like real silver!
I made a little horse, which looks great
and a dinosaur that was actually just a first try and I was going to throw away. But my daughter loved it and she's using it now!
