The lovely Grace over at Stripes & Sequins did a great post the other day about stuff she loved for February. Amongst my fav things on the list was a reversible hairband/bracelet from Bloom Black Ties. Since I couldn’t get a hold of some here in Norway I decided to make some of my own.
You will need a neutral color hair elastic (the once that doesn’t have the metal snag your hair part) three links of a thick metal chain and some waxed string.
Cut your hair elastic, link it through the metal and attach with the waxed string, repeat on the other side and you have yourself a super nice hair elastic/bracelet!
There you go, now you can go out in the world looking pretty (new bracelet and all) and still be prepared for the time of day (we all know its coming) where your hair is frizzy and you just want to pull it away from your face!
I just LOVE that idea!!!! So simple and chic! Absolutely need to do it! thanks for sharing ;)

I love these elastic hairbands (or hair ties)….... I wonder how well they’d stay in stick straight thin hair !!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great! But I have no idea where I have to get the chain thingies ): x
