I have been loving the big stack of bracelets people have been doing this fall/winter.
This bracelet will add a few to your wrist stack (or look great alone).
You will need charms, I have used random once that I found at “Perlehuset” in Oslo, but you can find similar ones here: stars , peace sign and feather.
I got the thread there too but it's something like this woven cord, not waxed about 1,5mm thick.
Instructions after the jump...
I wanted three sections in my bracelet, if you want more adjust the number of threads. I took 5 long pieces of string folded them over and made a knot. This hoop will also be the fastening on our lock, so make sure you get your button or lock bead through.
This gives you 10 strings, you only need 9, so cut of one off.
Start braiding three of the cords, add the charms on the strings in a pattern that suits you.
When you have your desired length (a bit shorter than the width of you wrist tie a loose knot (we are opening this later) to keep the braiding tight while you do the rest.
When you are done your three separate braids, open your knots, braid the three braid together making it one thick braid.
Tie on your button or bead and you’re ready to go!
This will look good with any other bracelet, or charms so get your imagination going!
